Tile Five Rules
Objective
The objective of Tile Five is to create a row of five tiles of your color, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Number of Players
The game can be played with 2, 3, or 4 players. Each player is assigned a distinct color: blue, green, red, or orange.
Gameplay
Players take turns placing tiles onto the playing area.
- First Turn: The player with the blue tiles always goes first and must place their first tile in the center of the playing area (which is initially empty).
- Subsequent Turns: Each subsequent player must place their tile so that it is adjacent (horizontally or vertically) to any tile already on the playing area, regardless of color.
- Running Out of Tiles: Once a player has placed all 15 of their tiles, they must, on their turn, pick up one of their tiles already on the playing area and place it in a new legal location (adjacent to any other tile).
- No Isolated Tiles: When picking up a tile, you cannot leave any other tile completely isolated. A tile is considered isolated if it has no other tiles adjacent to it (horizontally or vertically).
End of Game
The game ends immediately when one player creates a row of five tiles of their color, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. That player wins the game.
